Growing up takes time
Hardly anyone wants to grow old but its inevitable.
Almost everyone, at a certain point of time in their life, wanted to grow up "faster" but growing up takes time!
Is it really fair to expect teenagers to be able to think maturely like adults?
And, is it necessary for teenagers to think maturely like adults?
Let them grow up with time...let them enjoy their youth.
For the gifted and more matured, it would be good to stretch them but don't take their "youth-hood" away and replace it with adult matters to be burdened about at such a young age! They have plenty of years ahead of them to worry about that.
All of us should learn to smell the roses every now and then; don't fault teenagers for "wasting" time on mindless pursuits all the time, give them some space, instead, focus on finding the balance. Give them chances. Don't put them down so quickly because of some minor mistakes. Guide them. Give them a chance to learn. Give them time to grow up!!!
P.S. It has been two weeks since my "Life is Great!" entry. Verified. Kiddy is back. =)

1 Comments:
Think sometimes one may just be overly concerned about the teens and wish that they can avoid some of the pitfalls or detours that one has gone through, without realising that such concerns inevitably hasten their growing up process.
Anyway, do keep your spirits up. Keeping your spirits up is one of teh greatest gift for your parents and friends.
