Phone technology is moving fast...2G...3G...did I hear Japan going 5G already? From verbal conversation to video conversation...is that a good thing? Hmmm...

Well some people are saying our society is becoming a faceless society, where people don't meet up with many friends in person any more and for better friends not as frequently already...is that happening to you? When mobile phones became the "in" thing after domestic phone lines, people could stay in touch even on the move. Hence, there seemed to be a lesser need to meet up face-to-face as often to keep in touch. But old time communications has lost the physical presence element already...well if non-verbal expressions take up 55% of communications as academics say...then we lost more than half of it when we use phones...

So maybe when we move to video conversations, we can get some of that 55% back...
